During a third hearing dedicated to the presentation of transcripts, Prosecutor Ibro Bulic submitted transcripts of witnesses’ statements, in which he marked the parts relevant for the indictment against Kuvelja.

Defence attorney Izet Bazdarevic agreed that statements given by witnesses, who have since died, would be read at the next hearing. Also, he requested the Chamber to allow the Defence to examine Momir Nikolic, Joseph Kingori and protected witness PW-100.

After he had admitted guilt, The Hague Tribunal sentenced Nikolic, former Assistant Commander for Security with the Bratunac Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, to 20 years in prison for crimes in Srebrenica.

He has testified at several trials held before The Hague Tribunal. Kingori, former United Nations, UN military observer in Srebrenica, has testified at The Hague and before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Kuvelja, former member of the Jahorina Training Centre with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, MUP of RS, with having participated in the shooting of more than 1,000 men from Srebrenica in Kravica Agricultural Co-operative, near Bratunac in July 1995.

The trial is due to continue on Tuesday, July 10.
