The Trial Chamber granted protective measures to the witness, prohibiting the publishing of his personal data, face and his testimony, but allowing the public to be present in the courtroom during his testimony.

Kornjaca, former Commander of “Plavi orlovi” (“Blue Eagles”) Paramilitary Unit, is charged with having participated in the persecution of Bosniaks from the Cajnice area.

Among other things, he is charged with having participated in the murder of 11 civilians at Mostina locality, just outside Cajnice town, on May 19, 1992.

The trial is due to continue on Monday, June 11, when a new State Prosecution witness will testify.
