“After having reviewed the file, the Prosecutor determined that there was not enough evidence for a grounded suspicion that Vukojevic committed the crime charged upon him as per a Bihac Cantonal Court’s decision for conducting an investigation and that the general condition for ordering him into custody has not been fulfilled,” the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.

Also, the Prosecutor proposed to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to terminate custody and release the suspect to liberty, as well as to withdraw the order issued by the Cantonal Court in Bihac, on the basis of which the arrest warrant against Vukojevic was issued. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed that Vukojevic was released to liberty.

As announced by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vukojevic is suspected of having committed crimes against Croat civilians in Skrljevita village, Sanski Most municipality in November 1992.

He was arrested by the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Kamensko border crossing on May 29.

In April this year, by virtue of the office, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina took the case over from the Cantonal Prosecution in Bihac and sent it to the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing.
