Under the verdict, Dmicic was found guilty of having come to Omer Hadzic’s family house in Velecevici village, near Kljuc on July 14, 1992 and took Hadzic away. Hadzic was later on killed. His body has still not been found.Trial Chamber Chairwoman Olga Malesevic said that the District Prosecution had proved the allegations completely. “By examining witnesses and analysing evidence, the Prosecution has proved, without any doubt, that the suspect committed the war crime.Hence, an adequate imprisonment sentence is pronounced against him,” Malesevic said. She said that the Trial Chamber considered the fact that Dmicic had performed his job in a professional manner until that date, that he was a family man, that he did not have a criminal record and that his health condition was deteriorated as mitigating circumstances.”The fact that he was a policeman, who was supposed to protect lives and property, was considered an aggravating circumstance,” Malesevic said. The parties have the right to file an appeal with the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska.
