The trial of Ostojic started anew in August 2011, after members of the Trial Chamber were replaced, while three witnesses for the Defence at this hearing said that they stick with their original statements given in the process against Zarije Ostojic.

Witnesses for the Defence Jevo Golic, Admir Music and Savo Jeftic, when asked by the Defence and the Prosecution, responded that they stick to their original statements, though not specifying the date when they gave them.

The District Prosecution charged Zarije Ostojic with taking part, as a member of the reserve make-up of the police with the special unit of the Vlasenica police station, in the beating of civilians in the Susica camp in 1992.

The indictment specifies that Ostojic, together with other members of the unit in the Susica camp, was taking out Bosniaks and beating them “with police batons, rifle butts, fists and legs”.

The trial was scheduled to resume on January 18, 2012.A.S.
