The trial of Zurahid Mujcinovic and Sulejman Hrustic for crimes in Srebrenik is due to begin on November 9 – this was confirmed at a status conference held before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mujcinovic and Hrustic are charged with having treated Serb civilians, who were unlawfully held in the Youth Centre building in Rapatnica village, Srebrenik municipality, in an inhumane manner from the end of July to mid-August 1992.

The State Prosecution’s indictment alleges that Mujcinovic and Hrustic were members of the 21st Mountain Brigade with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Srebrenik.

In June this year the indictees, who are defending themselves while at liberty, pleaded not guilty to the charges contained in the indictment.

During the status conference it was agreed that hearings in this case would be held every Wednesday.
