How important is the role of the media war crime trials reporting from the BiH judiciary?
The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIRN BiH) is the only non-governmental organization in the country specialized in monitoring and reporting war crimes trials processes before the domestic judiciary.
Acting as a public information service in the field of domestic judiciary and human rights protection, BIRN BiH works to increase public understanding and support for war crime prosecution in Bosnia and Herzegovina. BIRN BiH is also a member of the Balkan Investigative Reporting Regional Network (BIRN), which gathers seven media development organizations from the Southeast Europe that altogether promote the principles of investigative journalism and high media quality production.
