The trial of Zarija Ostojic began again with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the district prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo. The trial proceedings were restarted because Ostojic’s defense attorney had been replaced.

The defense of Zarije Ostojic proposed the re-examination of a witness at a status conference held before the district court of Eastern Sarajevo.

On November 2, the Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the Petar Kovacevic trial. Kovacevic has been charged with crimes against humanity committed in the municipality of Visegrad during 1992.

The Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic trial continued with the defense’s inclusion of documents in the case file.

A new ex-officio defense attorney has been appointed to Zarije Ostojic.

Presenting his closing statement, Aleksandar Cvetkovics defense attorney said Cvetkovic didnt participate in the execution of civilians from Srebrenica on the Branjevo Farm in the municipality of Zvornik in July 1995. As such, the defense believes that their client should be acquitted of charges of participating in genocide.

The state prosecution presented a few documents at the Petar Kovacevic trial, but didnt explain their intention in filing them as material evidence. Kovacevic has been charged with war crimes in the Visegrad area.

After the state prosecution and the defense presented their closing statements in the Srecko Boskovic trial, the Bosnian state court scheduled the verdict for July 3.
