The district court of Bijeljina has discontinued the Predrag Marjanovic trial until further notice, after a court-ordered neuropsychiatrist deemed the defendant incapable of following the trial proceedings due to his poor health.
The start of the Predrag Marjanovic trial has been postponed at the district court of Bijeljina due to the prosecutor’s poor health. Marjanovic has been charged with war crimes in the village of Caparde in the municipality of Kalesija.
Seven state prosecution witnesses testifying at the trial of six former members of the Bosnian Serb Army and paramilitary formations said their families were taken away from the Teslic area in 1992. Their remains were found in various mass graves.
The State Prosecution proposes an extension of prohibiting measures for Predrag Marjanovic, who is charged with crimes in Caparde village, in the then Kalesija municipality, in 1992, while the Defence objects to the proposal.
