Brcko District Prosecution witnesses say, at the trial of Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic, that they were beaten up and examined by several members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina from that area, including the indictees, several times during their 20-day detention in Gornji Rahic in the autumn of 1992.

At the trial of Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic before the Basic Court of Brcko District, a Prosecution witness says that indictee Hadzic examined and beat him in September 1992.

The trial of Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic before the Basic Court of Brcko District was cancelled after the defence attorney of the one of the indictees requested exemption of the Chairman and the members of the Trial Chamber.

Testifying for the Prosecution of Brcko District, witness Pavo Radic says that he was questioned and physically mistreated several times during the course of his detention in the nursery garden in Gornji Rahic.

At the trial of Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic, the Chairman of the Trial Chamber of the Brcko Basic Court expressed his doubts about a Prosecution witness' statement.

The Brcko District Basic Court has set the start date for the trial of Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic for March 3.

Galib Hadzic and Nijaz Hodzic appear before the Brcko District Basic Court and plead not guilty to charges that they committed war crimes in that area.
