The agreement on execution of court verdicts between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia has still not been applied in the case of fugitive Dominik Ilijasevic, known as Como, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for war crimes and murder.

It is impossible to hold war-crimes trials before the Cantonal Court in Gorazde if the court does not hire additional judges. But as funding for their employment has not been secured for this year, either, it appears that the court will be unable to hear war crimes cases.

Presenting its appeal against a verdict, under which Sabit Skampo was sentenced to six years in prison for crimes in Jablanica, the Defence requests the Supreme Court of FBiH to either acquit the indictee of charges or order a new trial.

During an appeals session held before the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH, in the case against three indictees charged with crimes in Srebrenik, the Prosecution calls for a longer sentence, while the Defence teams propose a verdict of acquittal or new trial.

A former prison guard was sentenced to a year and a half in prison for war crimes against Yugoslav Army detainees in the Bosnian city of Tuzla in 1992.

The retrial of Ivan Koler, who is charged with crimes in Tuzla, has been completed with the examination of the last witness and presentation of closing statements. The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina says that it will pronounce the verdict on March 11.

The Defence of Ivan Jakovljevic, whom the Mostar Cantonal Court sentenced to six years in prison for crimes in Prozor, requests a new trial or a reduction of the sentence.
