The Prosecution of the International Tribunal at The Hague requests the Appellate Chamber to quash a first instance decision, under which former Republika Srpska President Radovan Karadzic was acquitted in the middle of trial, of charges for genocide against Muslims and Croats in seven municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, excluding Srebrenica.

Five Vlasenica residents, who were killed in that municipality in the period from 1992 to 1995, have been identified in the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla. Their bodies were found in the Pelemis mass grave in Sekovici municipality and Ogradice mass grave in Vlasenica municipality.

On Wednesday, March 27 the Hague Tribunal is due to pronounce a verdict against Mico Stanisic and Stojan Zupljanin, who are charged with persecutions and other crimes against the non-Serb population.

By examining witness Zoran Jovanovic at his trial before The Hague Tribunal, former Republika Srpska President Radovan Karadzic defends himself from the charges for persecution of Muslims from Vlasenica municipality, which, according to the indictment, reached the scale of genocide.

Former President of the Serb municipality of Milici Tomislav Savkic is another Radovan Karadzic Defence witness, who blames Bosnian Muslims for breakout of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while testifying before the International Tribunal at The Hague.

Radovan Karadzic has asked the Hague Tribunal to reject the prosecutions appeal of a decision by which he was acquitted of genocide in seven Bosnian municipalities.

The Institute for Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed that the human remains off 11 victims have been found at a mass grave at Trnovo in the municipality of Sekovici.

The Defence of Zarije Ostojic, who is charged with crimes committed in Vlasenica, is due to submit a written motion to the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo, explaining protection measures for one of ICTY convicts, who is supposed to testify in defence of the indictee.

The Hague Tribunals President has rejected a motion filed by representatives of victims from seven Bosnian municipalities, who asked the Tribunal to appeal against the decision to acquit Radovan Karadzic of genocide charges committed in 1992 following the end of the Prosecutions evidence presentation.

The defence of Ratko Mladic, during cross-examination of the witness, Ibro Osmanovic, pointed out that in the summer of 1992, the Susica camp near Vlasenica was ran by the Bosnian Serb police and not the army.
