Bosnia’s State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested former Bosnian Serb Army soldier Sabahudin Kajdic for seizing and killing Bosniak civilians in the Prijedor area in July 1992. State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA police officers on Monday arrested ex-serviceman Sabahudin Kajdic, alias Sasa, for allegedly committing a crime against humanity in July 1992.

Former Bosnian Serb soldier Sretko Pavic appealed against the verdict convicting him of detaining and killing five Bosniak civilians, all members of the same family, near Prijedor in 1992. Sretko Pavic, a former member of the Volarska Company with the Sixth Ljubija Battalion of the Bosnian Serb Army, asked the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Thursday to quash the sentence convicting him of wartime crimes or order a retrial.

Bosnia’s state court increased the sentences imposed on former Bosnian Serb policemen Zoran Babic and Darko Mrdja to a total of 55 years for murders and other crimes against Bosniaks in the Prijedor area in 1992. The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court ruled on Friday that sentences imposed on the two former Bosnian Serb policemen should be amalgamated, and that Zoran Babic should serve 35 years and Darko Mrdja 20 years.

Former Bosnian Serb soldier Sretko Pavic was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the detention and killing of five Bosniak civilians, all members of the same family, near Prijedor in 1992. The Bosnian state court found Sretko Pavic guilty on Monday of having participated in the murder of five civilians in the village of Rizvanovici in the Prijedor area in the second half of July 1992, and sentenced him to 13 years in prison.
