Following a several-month break for winter weather, the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun searching for missing persons in the Herzegovina area and discovered one unidentified body at Krusevica locality, Mostar municipality.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on the Court to pronounce a long-term imprisonment sentence against Krsto Savic for persecution of the Bosniak and Croat population in Gacko, Bileca, Nevesinje and Kalinovik area.

The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina revises a first instance verdict for crimes committed in Kalinovik, sentencing Ratko Bundalo and Nedjo Zeljaja to a total of 27 years in prison and ordering a retrial against Djordjislav Askraba.

The State Court has separated the cases against Krsto Savic and Milko Mucibabic due to the second indictee's illness and the fact he cannot attend the trial.

Although the bodies of more than 2,000 people killed during the war in Bosnia have already been exhumed from graves in the Herzegovina area, the Institute for Missing People says the search for 750 more people continues.

More than 60 prosecution witnesses spoke about the detention and mass execution of Bosniaks civilians in the Kalinovik area.

An additional Prosecution witness says "the deportation and capture of Bosniaks" was not discussed at police management meetings convened by indictee Savic.

An additional Prosecution witness describes what she lived through in her house in Nevesinje when the indictees visited her.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina terminates custody of Krsto Savic, ordering certain prohibiting measures.

In late 2008, the Prosecution finished presenting evidence against Krsto Savic and Milko Mucibabic, which started in May. The Defence is to start presenting evidence on January 15.
