Former fighters Bora Kuburic and Radmila Banjac were sentenced to four years in prison each for torturing a captured Bosnian Army nurse in the summer of 1992 in Bosanska Krupa.
The Cantonal court in Bihac will hand down a verdict against former Bosnian Serb female fighters Bora Kuburic and Radmila Banjac for crimes they allegedly committed in Bosanska Krupa on Thursday, February 26.
A witness said he saw former Bosnian Serb fighters abuse and kill a captured member of the Army and Herzegovina. The witness, Veselko Djukic, testified at the trial of Boro Kuburic and Radmila Banjac, who have been indicted on charges related to the torture and murder of Karmen Kremencic, a military nurse.
Two witnesses for the Bihac Cantonal Prosecution said that they had heard that a woman was captured and killed in Radic in the municipality of Bosanska Krupa in 1992. However, the witnesses stated that they did not personally see the crime take place.
Testifying at the trial of Bora Kuburic and Radmila Banjac before the Cantonal Court in Bihac, first Prosecution witnesses say that a nurse, who, according to the charges, was captured, mistreated and later killed, was wounded during a reconnaissance operation.
Although they conducted negotiations with the Bihac Cantonal Prosecution, Bora Kuburic and Radmila Banjac, who are charged with crimes in the Bosanska Krupa area, have not signed a guilt admission agreement.
