Two state prosecution witnesses testifying at the Mile Puljic trial said they were wounded in 1993 while being performing forced labour for the Croatian Defense Council (HVO). Both witnesses were former prisoners of the Heliodrom detention camp.

Former Bosnian Army serviceman Zaim Lalicic, who was a guard at a prison camp for Serbs in the Sarajevo settlement of Hrasnica, was sentenced to nine years in prison for crimes against civilians.

The Bosnian state prosecution says the state court confirmed an indictment against former members of the Bosnian Serb Army accused of abducting 20 civilians travelling from Belgrade to Bar by train in February 1993, and killing them.

The Bosnian state court has postponed its verdict in the Zaim Lalicic case until Monday, May 25. Lalicic, a former member of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with war crimes in the Hrasnica neighbourhood in Sarajevo.

The three justice ministries in Bosnia and Herzegovina have agreed a draft justice reform strategy after the EU cut funding for war crimes prosecutions in frustration at the lack of progress.

The Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the Zaim Lalicic trial on Thursday, May 21. Lalicic has been charged with war crimes in the municipality of Ilidza.

A state prosecution witness identified defendant Gligor Begovic in the courtroom, and said he was the guard who hit him on the head when he arrived at the Batkovic detention camp in Bijeljina n 1992.

State border police have arrested Mehmed Alesevic as per an order issued by the Bosnian state prosecution. Alesevic, who is suspected of having committed war crimes in the Buzim area, was arrested at the Maljevac border crossing.

The Bosnian State court confirmed an indictment against Zdenko Andabak, Muamir Jasarevic and Sead Velagic for crimes against humanity in Livno.

A dispute between politicians over establishing a state-level appeals court has halted the countrys judicial reforms and caused the European Union to suspend vital funding for war crimes prosecutions.
