A state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of three former police officials charged with war crimes in the Bosanska Krupa area said she and her two young children were detained in a house in Jasenica by the defendants in 1995.

The state prosecution and the defense of Dragan Sekaric has asked the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court to repeal the verdict in the Sekaric case. Sekaric was sentenced to 14 years in prison for acts of murder and rape committed in the Visegrad area during the summer of 1992.

A statement given by a deceased witness was read at the trial of Goran Vujovic, Miroslav Duka and Zeljko Ilic. In that statement the witness said he was beaten at the public safety center in Bileca until he fainted.

A state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of Zeljko Stanarevic said the military police took Bosniaks away and detained them in the Ripac police station in the municipality of Bihac.

The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been has been ask to repeal Ratko Lavrnic’s acquittal. Lavrnic, who was accused of war crimes in Kljuc, says he was on the battlefield when his alleged crimes were committed.

The beginning of the Milenko Krsmanovic trial has been postponed due to the conflicting commitments of the defense attorney and a state prosecution witness.

Tomislav Kovac, the former minister of internal affairs of Republika Srpska, was expected to testify at the trial of five former Bosnian Serb fighters. His testimony was postponed when the state prosecution announced that Kovac was under investigation for the same crimes as the defendants.
