Defence lawyer Bakir Hacimovic requested the postponement of the hearing because he said the defence and the prosecutor’s office are in the process of finalising Alisic’s guilty plea.

He added that he believes that the agreement will be concluded during the day.

Hecimovic also asked for the public be excluded from the next hearing.

Presiding judge Biljana Cukovic said that the presentation of evidence by the defence was due begin today, and that the court has already accepted the defence’s request to call Alisic as a witness.

Alisic is on trial for going from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Syria in December 2013 to join the so-called Islamic State.

The next hearing is scheduled for January 5.
