Dario Slavuljica Guilt Admission Agreement Will Be Considered Next Week

Slavuljica, the former commander of the First Squad of military police with the Teslicka Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, admitted his guilt in the case against him. He and five other defendants have been charged with the murder of Bosniak civilians on Mount Borje. The agreement will be considered on Monday, February 29.
On the same day, the appeals chamber will hold a session to discuss an appeal against the verdict in the case of Bosiljko and Ostoja Markovic. Under the first instance verdict, the defendants were both sentenced to ten years in prison for raping a 14-year old girl in Kotor-Varos.
On Wednesday, March 2, the state prosecution will present its closing statement at the trial of Adil Vojic and Bekir Mesic. Vojic and Mesic have been charged with rape in the Bihac area in 1994. According to the charges, Vojic and Mesic, former members of the 501st Brigade of the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army, raped a woman in the Bihac area on the night of May 1or 2, 1994.
On the same day, an appeals chamber session will be held in the case of Ilija Juric. Juric was acquitted of charges of committing crimes in the Odzak area in 1992, under a verdict handed in November 2015.
On Thursday, March 3, both parties will present their appeals against a verdict handed in the case of Aleksandar Cvetkovic in July 2015. Under the verdict, Cvetkovic was acquitted of charges of participating in genocide in Srebrenica in July 1995.
On the same day, a pretrial status conference will be held in the case of Bosko Peulic, Slobodan Zupljanin, Aleksandar Petrovic, Manojlo Tepic, Janko Trivic and Nedeljko Djekanovic. They have been charged with the persecution and murder of several hundred people in the Kotor-Varos area from June 1992 to mid 1994.
Trials for crimes committed in Kotor-Varos, Teslic, Bihac, Srebrenica, Capljina, Mostar, Rogatica, Visegrad and Doboj will continue next week as well.
