The verdict in the Avdovic and Vintila trial has been scheduled for Friday, February 26. The state prosecution has charged the defendants with with crimes committed against Serb civilians in the Viktor Bubanj military barracks and on the fifth floor of a central prison.

The trial of Srecko Acimovic will begin on Wednesday, February 24. Acimovic, the former commander of the Second Battalion of the Zvornicka Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, has been charged with genocide committed in Srebrenica.

In July 1995, Acimovic allegedly executed an order to transport Srebrenica residents detained in a school building in Rocevic in the municipality of Zvornik to a location of his choice – a gravel quarry on the banks of the Drina river in Kozluk, where they were killed.

On Thursday, February 25, the prosecution will appeal against the verdict in the Goran Popovic case at the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court. Popovic has been acquitted of charges of crimes against humanity in the Visegrad area.

On Monday, February 22, the prosecution will also present an appeal against the verdict in the Ilija Juric case. Juric was acquitted of charges of crimes against the civilian population in the Odzak area in 1992.

On Thursday, February 25, a status conference will be held in the case of Sakib Mahmuljin. The defendant, a former commander of the Third Corps of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with committing crimes in the Zavidovici area.

On Thursday, February 25, a pretrial status conference will be held in the case of Ibro Merkez, Predrag Bogunic and Esef Huric. The defendants have been charged with crimes against Serb civilians in the Gorazde area.

On Thursday, February 25, a status conference will be held in the case of Djordje Ristanic. Ristanic has been charged with crimes committed in the municipality of Brcko in 1992.

On the same day, the defense of Nihad Bojadzic will continue presenting its closing statement. Bojadzic has been charged with crimes against Croats in Jablanica in June and July 1993.

Trials dealing with the Srebrenica genocide, as well as trials involving crimes committed in Zvornik, Bileca, Sanski Most, Trnovo, Rogatica, Prijedor, Livno, Mostar, Odzak, Capljina, Hadzici, Zavidovici, Teslic, Kladanj and Cajnice will continue next week.
