Police officers with the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested Miroslav Hrstic, Ivan Medic, Miljenko Nogolica, Jadranko Martinovic and Tonco Rajic.

They’re suspected of arresting, assaulting, torturing and pillaging the property of detainees held in the Dretelj detention camp. Three of the suspects are also suspected of raping Serb women in 1992. The prosecution stated that the suspects are former members of the Croatian Defense Council and Croatian Defense Forces.

A prosecutor will examine the suspects and decide whether to request custody or prohibitive measures.
