Pekic was arrested on Friday. A former member of the 108 Brigade of the Croatian Defense Council, he’s suspected of having killed two Bosnian Serb prisoners of war during an attack on Bukvik, near Brcko. According to the state prosecution, around 50 Bosnian Serb civilians were killed in 1992 in Bukivik.

He will be handed over to the state prosecution which will question him and decide whether to file a motion for custody measures against him.

On Thursday, the Brcko District police arrested Mensur Djakic on suspicion of participating in the same crimes.
