At today’s hearing of the Radoman Fundup trial, a forensic pathologist presented findings on the deaths of six individuals who were exhumed in Foca in 2001, as well as an injured party in the case. Fundup is suspected of involvement in their murders.

Radoman Fundup, a former member of the Focanska Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, has been charged with the murder and abuse of civilians in the Foca area. The indictment alleges that he participated in the murder of two children and five persons and the wounding of one woman in Cohodar Mahala, in collaboration with two other persons.

Fundup has also been charged with the abuse of three civilians, including two children. According to the indictment, he also intimidated and threatened civilians in the village of Gornje Polje. He ordered civilians in Gornje Polje to form a line, and accompanied by another person, cocked his rifle in order to simulate their execution.

Forensic pathologist Hamza Zujo testified at today’s hearing. He presented his findings on the cause of death of six victims exhumed from the Foca area on June 8, 2001, as well as his findings on injured party C1’s cause of death.

“Acting upon the order of prosecutor Adis Nuspahic, I conducted an analysis of injured party C1. In medical documentation from June 1992, air in the chest is asserted, and also a wound in the right side of the chest,” Zujo said.

The six other victims died violently and as a result of firearms, Zujo said.

“The injuries I found on the body of Emina Dzelilovic included the destruction of the skull and jawbone, and are the result of a violent death,” Zujo said.

Prosecutor Adis Nuspahic introduced a set of documentary evidence into the court file. The defense had no objection.

The trial continues on August 21.
