Kovacevic was charged with attacking Zorinko Vidovic, a guard in the police room of the Bosnian state court detention unit in September 2014.
The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Bosnian state court.
The trial chamber previously found Kovacevic guilty of killing two persons and inhumanely treating others in the village of Sijekovac near Bosanski Brod in March 1992. The Bosnian state prosecution and the defense appealed this verdict.
