The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, charges Fundup, former member of the First Focanska Light Infantry Brigade of VRS, with having participated in murders and mental abuse of several Bosniak civilians in the Foca area from April to June 1992.
“Fundup, who was accompanied by two other soldiers, is charged with having killed seven persons, including two children and five women, in Cohodar Mahala neighbourhood in Foca in June 1992 by shooting them from an automatic gun,” the State Prosecution alleges.
According to the unconfirmed indictment, Fundup and another soldier took three Bosniak persons, including two minors, from a house in Gornje Polje in Foca and escorted them to a place known as Spila on the banks of River Drina, where they lined them up and pointed their rifles towards them and got ready to shoot.
It is alleged that, by doing that they scared the victims, who got the impression that they would shoot them. This resulted in the strong mental suffering of those people.
Fundup was arrested on December 11. He has been held in custody since.
The indictment has been filed with the Court of BiH for confirmation.
