“Honourable Court, I plead not guilty,” Salkic said.
 
According to the indictment, which was confirmed on November 10 this year, Salkic, a former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, is charged with inhumane treatment of a civilian, who was detained in the detention unit of the prison in Kozlovac at the beginning of June 1992.
 
The State Prosecution previously announced that Salkic beat, tortured and abused the civilian, made cuts on his body with a knife and threatened him by saying that he would slaughter him.
 
The Prosecution of BiH requested the Court to refer Salkic’s case to the Cantonal Court in Tuzla considering the gravity of the crime. The Defence of the indictee agreed with the proposal.
 
The Court of BiH will render a decision concerning the proposal at a later stage.
