Custody for 13 Suspects Extended

The State Court ordered 25-day extension of custody for Dusan Milunic, Radomir Stojnic, Zoran Stojnic, Radovan Cetic, Zeljko Grbic, Ilija Zoric, Zoran Milunic, Bosko Grujcic, Rade Grujcic, Uros Grujcic, Rajko Grbic, Rajko Gnjatovic and Zdravko Antonic.
 
Ljubisa Cetic and Dusko Zoric, who are serving their sentences for other crimes, are also suspected in this case.
 
The custody measure for the thirteen suspects was extended on December 16 following a request by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina to extend their custody for three months due to a danger that they might influence witnesses and accomplices. In the case of Antonic, custody extension was also requested due to a danger that he might flee.  
 
They are suspected of having participated in an attack on Zecovi, near Prijedor, where more than 150 people were killed. Besides that, they are suspected of having killed 29 women and children in Gradina hamlet. After that they allegedly removed the bodies and buried them in a mass grave, which has still not been found.  
 
The Prosecution of BiH announced that the surviving population was then detained in Omarska, Keraterm and Trnopolje detention camps.
 
The Court of BiH returned the indictment against these 15 persons to the State Prosecution, because the Prosecution “gave the Court only two days to render a decision concerning confirmation of the indictment and extension of custody.”
