Salijevic, a former member of the Croatian Defence Forces, HOS, is charged in seven counts with having physically and mentally abused a number of Serb civilians and prisoners of war, who were detained in the Okrajci detention camp, near Brcko.

It is alleged that he committed these crimes in collaboration with Redzep Salaj and other persons. The trial of Salaj before the Basic Court of Brcko District began on November 5.

The indictment against Salijevic is the third one confirmed this year covering war crimes committed in Gornji Rahic, near Brcko.
