Andabak Indicted for Crimes in Livno

The State Prosecution files an indictment against Zdenko Andabak, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, charging him with crimes against civilians in the Livno area.

Under the unconfirmed indictment, Andabak is charged with having participated, in his capacity as Assistant Chief of the Military Police Administration for the North-Western Herzegovina Operational Zone and Commander of the Second Light Armoured Assault Battalion of HVO military police in that area, in the abuse and murder of civilians in Livno municipality in July 1993.
 
As announced by the State Prosecution, Andabak is charged with having led an operation in which his subordinates killed two Bosniak civilians and abused a woman in front of their family houses in Grborezi village, Livno municipality, on July 21, 1993.  

“The indictee personally killed one of the wounded civilians, who had previously been wounded by members of the Unit, whose commander he was. During the course of the operation, he physically abused one person, while threatening him, by ordering him to lie on the ground and to put his hands on his head and then hitting him on his jaw with rifle butt. The civilian lost two teeth and went through severe physical and mental suffering,” the Prosecution of BiH announced.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
