The trial of Oliver Krsmanovic for crimes in Visegrad has been postponed due to technical problems in reproducing audio recordings of Defence witnesses’ testimonies.

The Defence intended to play audio recordings of testimonies by witnesses, who were examined at trials before The Hague Tribunal, in the courtroom.

However, the package, which was received from The Hague, contained a huge number of recordings, so it was not possible to identify the ones the Defence wanted to play at the hearing.

These recordings will be precisely identified with the help from the Criminal Defence Section and played at one of the future hearings.

Defence attorney Slavisa Prodanovic proposed that three more Defence witnesses be examined. Two of them will be invited to appear at the next hearing scheduled for November 18.

The indictment charges Krsmanovic, former member of the Second Podrinje Light Infantry Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, with having participated in murders, rape, torture and other inhumane acts against Bosniak civilians in Visegrad in 1992.
