As announced by the Court, the State Prosecution’s appeal against this decision has been rejected as well.
The Court was not able to provide additional details on when and why the indictment was rejected.
On July 21 the Prosecution filed the indictment against Zelenika, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, due to a suspicion that he abused and tortured two civilians in November 1993.
Zelenika is on trial, along with Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, before the Court of BiH for crimes committed against Serb detainees in Dretelj detention camp, near Capljina, in 1992.
