The Trial Chamber announced that it rendered a decision to separate the proceedings and that the decision would be submitted to the Defence during the day.

The separation of the proceedings was proposed, because the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, completed the presentation of evidence related to Habibovic.

According to the charges, he hit an unlawfully detained civilian several times during his examination.

Habibovic is on trial, along with Safet Mujcinovic, Zijad Hamzic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Osman Gogic and Kahro Vejzovic, former members of the Territorial Defence, as well as military and civil police, with crimes in Kladanj.

They are charged with having committed unlawful detention of Serb population, as well as beating and inhumane treatment.

As the trial continued, the Prosecution of BiH and Defence presented material evidence.

Prosecutor Vedrana Mijovic presented five reports on examination of witnesses Rifet Kadric, Pero Marjanovic, Mile Dragic and Ilija Jovicic. The Defence attorneys of the indictees had no objections to these pieces of evidence.

The Defence of the indictees presented 18 pieces of material evidence, which were previously presented to witnesses during this trial. Among the evidence are photographs and official notes made by police bodies during 1992.

Due to the upcoming holidays, the trial is due to continue on August 29, when a State Prosecution witness will be examined.
