Novica Milosevic, Said Rizvic and Salkan Halvadzija were due to testify in defence of Sadikovic, former member of the armed forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, who is charged with having killed four Serb civilians in Kasatici village in May 1992.

Jasenko Ruzic, Chairman of the Trial Chamber with the Sarajevo Cantonal Court, said that the Defence contacted witness Novica Milosevic and that he expressed fears of coming to the trial in Sarajevo.

“The Defence will contact the witness again. Witness Said Rizvic lives in Zagreb and has the citizenship of Croatia. He said that coming to the court would be a waste of time for him. This witness will be invited again,” Ruzic said.

He said that third witness Salkan Halvadzija lived in the USA and that there was a possibility that he might come to BiH in September. In case he does not come, the Defence said that it would give up the examination of this witness.

A new hearing is scheduled for October 3.
