Gogic, who is serving his imprisonment sentence for a car accident, was not brought to the court. The Trial Chamber explained that this was caused by “a new practice” of the Federal Justice Ministry related to bringing of convicts to court.
 
Trial Chamber Chairwoman Vesna Jesenkovic explained that convicts could not be brought to court without permission from the Federal Justice Ministry.
 
The Defence was due to examine witness Rifet Kadric at the hearing today. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, examined Kadric on May 23.
 
Gogic is charged, along with Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Hariz Habibovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, former members of civil an dmilitary police, as well as the Territorial Defence, with crimes in Kladanj. They are charged with having unlawfully detained and beaten Serb civilians.

The trial is due to continue on June 27.
