Defence of Hadzic and Hodzic Present Material Evidence

Muhamed Lisic, Defence attorney of Galib Hadzic, included about 130 pieces of material evidence in the case file. The evidence included official acts, photographs, as well as audio and video recordings.
Trial Chamber Chairman Nijazija Kalender did not allow the inclusion of two notebooks, containing handwritten notes from the wartime period, and Hadzic’s testimony given at another trial.
Prosecutor Radmilo Ivanovic was not able to respond to the mentioned material evidence, because they were provided to him right before the beginning of the hearing.
The indictment alleges that Hadzic and Hodzic participated in the torture and inhumane treatment of Serb civilians and prisoners of war from the Bukvik area, Brcko District, during 1992 and 1993.
The Prosecution alleges that Hadzic was member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, MUP of Bosnia and Herzegovina and crime police inspector with the Public Safety Station in Brcko, while Hodzic was military policeman with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, who also performed tasks related to guarding of concentration camps at that time.
The Trial Chamber accepted a Defence proposal to invite witness Milenko Radusic to testify at the next hearing.
The trial is due to continue on May 13.
