Investigative bodies of the Bosnian Podrinje Canton are conducting a criminal investigation into this crime. The Border Police has opened a disciplinary procedure.

“The Disciplinary Commission of Border Police previously initiated a disciplinary procedure against B.N. due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed war crimes, which would represent a grave violation of the act of service,” an announcement issued by Border Police says.

The announcement says that, allowing the police officer to continue performing his duties with the mentioned police body would be detrimental for the Border Police of BiH, so a decision on temporary suspension has been rendered. The suspension will last until the completion of the disciplinary procedure and criminal proceedings.
