The verdict was passed down after the Appellate Chamber had rejected the appeals filed by the State Prosecution and Kuvelja’s Defence against a verdict pronounced in January this year. Under the January verdict, Kuvelja was pronounced guilty of having participated in the shooting of Bosniaks in the Agricultural Co-operative in Kravica on July 13, 1995.

“The Chamber determined that, following a mass murder of men in Kravica on July 13, 1995, Kuvelja shot at the survivors, who were deceived and invited to come out of the warehouse, from a machine gun in the morning hours on the following day,” the verdict says.

In July 1995 Kuvelja was a member of the Training Centre with the Special Brigade of Republika Srpska police in July 1995.

The parties do not have the right to appeal this verdict, which was pronounced on November 19.
