Kameric, a former member of the 101st Bosanski Brod Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, was charged on Wednesday with having participated in the physical and mental torture of Serb and Bosniak civilians and prisoners of war in the Bosanski Brod area of northern Bosnia from April to October 1992.

The state prosecution accuses Kameric of abusing civilians and prisoners of war who were unlawfully detained at the police station and the FK Polet football stadium in Bosanski Brod.

The prosecution alleged that Kameric personally participated in serious abuse and the beating of prisoners, and said that she tortured them in extremely humiliating ways.

“Kameric is also charged with having participated and assisted in the commission of rapes and sexual abuse against unlawfully detained persons,” it said in a statement.
