“We assume we have found the remains of civilians and members of the Bosnian Serb army. Until now we have found the remains of five persons, among them one child. The remains of the child were near one of the adults”, said Lejla Cengic, the spokesperson of the Institute.

DNA fragments for identification have been taken from the remains, after which they were returned to the same cemetery. The child remains were transferred to the cemetery in Banja Luka.

On Wednesday, November 12, the beginning of an exhumation was announced in the Ljusa mine in Donji Vakuf. It is believed the remains of four to six members of the Bosnian Serb army are buried in this location.
