Prosecutor Dika Omerovic included a total of 109 pieces of material evidence in the case file. The documents were not read in the courtroom.

The Defence of Zemir Kovacevic had no objection to 52 pieces of evidence, but it did object to 57. It objected the relevance of eight pieces of material evidence, claiming that the period of time covered by most pieces of evidence went beyond the framework of the indictment.

Zemir Kovacevic, former member of the Interventions Squad with the First Bosanski Brod Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged with having committed crimes against Serb civilians in Sijekovac village acting in collaboration with unidentified members of the Croatian Defence Forces, HOS, and Croatian Army, HV.

The indictment alleges that Kovacevic participated in an attack on Sijekovac and that, acting in collaboration with the others, he took 15 grown-ups and four Serb children, some of whom were killed, from their houses into a yard.

The trial is due to continue on October 23, when the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue presenting material evidence.
