Public Excluded in the Middle of Hearing

Witness B-2 said that, at the beginning of the war she lived in the same house with her disabled husband, old father-in-law, two children and niece.
“We were in our house. My older son was taken to a detention camp. At about 10 p.m. on April 26, 1993 we just got ready for bed, when these two men banged on the door,” witness B-2 said, adding that her entire family was killed and that she was wounded.
Describing this event, B-2, who is an elderly person, revealed the identity of one of the family members, so the Defence requested that the public be excluded from the hearing.
“The public is excluded due to a possible disclosure of the witness’ identity,” Trial Chamber Chairman Saban Maksumic said.
Zoran Marinic and Zoran Milic, former members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, are on trial for having participated in the murder of four Bosniaks in the Busovaca area in 1993, the causing of bodily injuries and the destruction of property.
According to the State Court’s schedule of hearings, this trial is due to continue on June 20.
