The Prosecution previously announced that it would examine a witness whose identity was protected with the pseudonym of RM-048. Closed sessions represent the highest level of witness identity protection before the International Tribunal.RM-048 is the 74th witness who will testify against Mladic since the beginning of the presentation of Prosecution’s evidence in the summer of last year. The trial of Mladic began on May 16, 2012.At the open part of the session the judges discussed some administrative issues with the parties to the proceeding.Mladic, who was Commander of the Republika Srpska Army during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is charged with genocide in Srebrenica and seven other Bosnian municipalities, the persecution of Muslims and Croats throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, terror against civilians in Sarajevo through long-lasting shelling and sniping, and taking UNPROFOR members hostage.The trial is due to continue on February 19.
