Bojadzic is charged with the torture, beating, forced labour, sexual abuse and rape of Croat civilians and members of the Croatian Defence Council imprisoned in the Battle of Neretva museum in Jablanica in the summer of 1993.
According to the indictment, Bojadzic, the former deputy commander of the Zulfikar Special Purposes Detachment of the Bosnian army, had raped a female prisoner telling her: “Either I rape you or kill you”.
The indictment also says that Bojadzic forced two prisoners to sexually abuse each other. Several charges relate to assaults on prisoners by Bojadzic.
Bojadzic is also on trial for war crimes in another case before Bosnia’s State Court.
Bojadizic and five other former members of the Bosnian army are accused of killing 22 Croat civilians and POWs in the village of Trusina on April 16, 1993. According to the indictment, the attack on the village of Trusina was led by Bojadzic, who gave the order that everyone should be killed.
The trial is set to resume on April 12.
