The recording, which is titled “Deceit and Crime”, was presented, as the Prosecution’s material evidence, to the Trial Chamber. Among other things, the recording depicts people, who spoke about having been abused in the school building in Odzak.

One of the persons, former prisoners in the school building in Odzak, said that indictee Albina Terzic, known as Nina, organized a wedding party and wedding guests, adding that, after that, some prisoners were taken out and forced to have sex with a mentally ill person.

Albina Terzic, former member of the HVO Military Police, is charged with having participated in the inhumane treatment of Serb civilians, who were unlawfully held in the school building and “Strolit” Factory in Odzak, from May to July 1992.

The indictment alleges that Terzic hit prisoners on their neck with a police baton, encouraged a dog to attack them, tortured, humiliated and insulted them in various ways, including by forcing them to have sexual intercourse with a mentally ill person.

After having been reproduced in the courtroom, the recording was included as the Prosecution’s material evidence. The Defence had no objection to this piece of evidence.

The trial is due to continue on March 13, 2012. A.S.
