Protected witness S7 told the Court that he was among about 70 local Bosniak residents, who were held in the school building in Gornja Bioca village, Ilijas municipality in June 1992.
“We were told to surrender to Risto and Srpko Pustivuk, who had allegedly promised to let us go towards Visoko… Srpko was one of the three policemen, who examined us in the school building,” the witness said, adding that he was not physically mistreated during the course of the examination.
The witness said that he was held in the school building for two days prior to being transferred to the detention facilities in Podlugovi and Semizovac, adding that he was exchanged in December 1992.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Pustivuk, former special policeman with the Public Safety Station in Ilijas, with having participated in the arrest of Bosniak civilians, who were then taken to detention camps and other detention facilities.
Besides that, Pustivuk is charged with having participated, in collaboration with other members of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Army and police, in an attack against civilians in Gornja Bioca village, Ilijas municipality during the course of May and June 1992, when two persons were killed and three wounded.
Hamza Zujo, court medicine expert, presented his findings and opinion at this hearing. He said that he determined, on the basis of medical documents issued in 1992, that, on the mentioned occasion two protected witnesses S3 and S4 got minor and severe bodily injuries caused by a projectile fired from fire arms.
S4 and S3 testified for the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina at closed hearings held at the beginning of November last year.
The State Prosecution introduced more than 30 pieces of material evidence, which the Trial Chamber accepted as evidence.
First witnesses of Srpko Pustivuk’s Defence are due to be examined on September 6, 2011.
