The Public Information Section of the State Court said that the package had been sent from Zepce and the investigative bodies knew the identity of the sender, but they could not disclose the sender’s name at this stage.

“While screening the parcel addressed to the Court President at the gate, a bomb was detected in it. The State Investigation and Prosecution Agency and the Federal and Cantonal police have arrived at the scene. A forensic analysis was performed and fingerprints taken. We know the identity of the parcel sender, but, in the interest of the investigation, we cannot reveal the name,” said Manuela Hodzic, spokeswoman for the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She mentioned that the courier had delivered the package to the place where counter-diversion screening is normally performed at the entrance to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is located within the judicial institutions complex.

Most judges are currently on annual leave, but the Court President came to her office after having found out about the parcel.

A meeting of police structures concerning this case is underway at present.
