The State Court has asked the Justice Ministry of the United Kingdom to sanction Radislav Krstic, because he refused to testify at the trial of the eleven indictees, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica.

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) sentenced Krstic to 35 years imprisonment for crimes committed in Srebrenica. On May 7 he was supposed to testify via video link from Great Britain, where he is serving his sentence, at the trial in the Kravica case. However, he refused to communicate with the Court of BiH.

Krstic was supposed to testify in favour of Milos Stupar, Milenko Trifunovic, Petar Mitrovic, Brane Dzinic, Aleksandar Radovanovic, Slobodan Jakovljevic, Miladin Stevanovic, Velibor Maksimovic, Dragisa Zivanovic, Branislav Medan and Milovan Matic, who are charged with participating in the shooting of more than 1,000 Srebrenica residents in Kravica village.

A short time ago the Court of BiH filed a similar motion with the authorities of the Kingdom of Norway, when Vidoje Blagojevic (who is sentenced to 15 years in jail for having “abetted and supported the Srebrenica genocide) and protected witness S4 refused to testify in the Kravica case.
