The Bosnian state prosecution said on Wednesday that it has issued war crimes indictments against Dragan Babic, who was a warden at the detention facility in the village of Pribinic and a member of the military police, and Milovoj Maletic, who was a prison guard.

The prosecution alleges that the two men, along with others, participated in the murders and torture of at least 110 Bosniaks and Croats.

“The crimes that were committed resulted in the death of six people, three Bosniak and three Croat victims, none of whom were killed with firearms, but died as a result of severe abuse and physical injuries,” a prosecution statement said.

The victims were mostly civilian prisoners and prisoners of war who were held at the detention facility near the town of Teslic.

According to the prosecution, the abuse of the prisoners also resulted in severe bodily injuries and multiple bone fractures, the consequences of which are still being endured by the victims.

The indictment was forwarded to the Bosnian state court for confirmation.
