On the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we’re bringing you an interview with the first person from our country to have been captured by the Ukrainian army. His name is Selver Hrustic, from Zenica, a volunteer for the Russians who managed to join this foreign army on his second attempt. He went from Germany, where he had sought asylum, to Russia, from where he was sent to the front in Ukraine. For Detektor, he described his journey from asylum-seeker to a volunteer and penitent prisoner.
