According to the court’s announcement, the chamber partially upheld the prosecution’s appeal and increased the sentence. It rejected the defense’s appeal as unfounded.

The rest of the first instance verdict remains unchanged.

Kameric, a former member of the 101st Bosanskobrodska Brigade of the Croatian Defense Council, was found guilty of participating in the mental and physical abuse of three prisoners detained on the premises of the Polet stadium in Bosanski Brod.

Kameric was acquitted of charges of abusing one person on police premises in Bosanski Brod and assisting in the rape of detainees held in the Polet stadium.

The appeal chamber’s decision is final.
